The round of allegations and counter-allegations has intensified between AAP party and BJP regarding the ‘Mahila Samman’ scheme. Now Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Sunday attacked former CM Kejriwal and said that there is no relative who was not cheated by Kejriwal.
He said that on Mahila Samman Yojana, if the government has to make any scheme, then make provision for it in the budget. Puri said that you should think that the scheme may start today and stop tomorrow, you also have to carry it forward.
Puri asked- Will we give Rs 2100 to the women after taking loan from the Centre? The Union Minister said that Kejriwal had made similar promises of ‘women respect’ to women in Punjab. The promises made during the assembly elections there have not been fulfilled yet. Kejriwal could not give Rs 1000 in Punjab. There is talk of asking for a loan of Rs 10,000 crore from the Central Government to run the government, then how will Rs 2100 be given directly to the women here in Delhi?
People said where is the scheme? Has ‘Mahila Samman’ been approved by the cabinet? For which year the budgeting is done, for the previous year or for the coming year. The Union Minister said that if you do not have money, you can announce the scheme.
AAP party volunteers are running this campaign Aam Aadmi Party volunteers are reportedly registering women under the scheme. On December 25, Congress leader Sandeep Dixit met the LG and expressed concern about the Mahila Samman Yojana. Regarding this, LG has directed the Chief Secretary and Police Commissioner to investigate this matter.
After this, Delhi Police has formed several teams to identify alleged camps collecting personal data of women in the name of Mahila Samman Yojana. A senior police officer said that there are 15 police districts in Delhi. We have ordered senior officers to form teams and investigate the entire matter. These teams will work under the supervision of DCP.
