SIT was formed on Saturday to investigate the female doctor suicide case of Maharashtra. CM Devendra Fadnavis ordered this. The SIT will be headed by a woman IPS officer. The team has been ordered to investigate with immediate effect.

The female doctor was posted at Phaltan Civil Hospital in Satara district. He had committed suicide on October 23 in a hotel in Phaltan. He had alleged that an MP, his two PAs and Sub-Inspector Gopal Badne had accused him of pressurizing him to issue a fake medical certificate.

In the suicide note written on the palm, the doctor had alleged that Gopal had raped her 4 times in 5 months. She was mentally abused by her software engineer son Prashant Bankar in the house where she lived. Satara police arrested Prashant on 25 October.

At the same time, on the night of 25 October, Sub-Inspector Gopal Badne, who was absconding, had surrendered at Phaltan Rural Police Station. Both the accused are currently in police remand. He is accused of rape and abetment of suicide.

Left a 4 page suicide note

The female doctor, resident of Beed district, had written in the suicide note that both the personal assistants of the MP had come to the hospital. Both of them put pressure on the accused related to other cases to issue fake fitness certificates. They also asked for fitness certificates to be issued for those accused who did not come to the hospital. When I refused to do so, I was made to talk to the MP on phone.

Women of Satara Bhagyashree told that her daughter Deepali was married to Indian Army officer Ajinkya Hanmant Nimbalkar. On August 17, the son-in-law informed that Deepali’s condition was critical. On August 19, news of the daughter’s suicide was received. We reached the hospital. There Deepali’s brother-in-law told that Deepali has committed suicide, but I am sure that the daughter has been murdered. The daughter was continuously tortured mentally and physically by her husband and in-laws.

The daughter’s husband Ajinkya Nimbalkar has used his political and police connections to suppress the case. There was pressure on the female doctor to change the postmortem report.

The doctor’s cousin said that he had complained about this matter to Satara SP and DSP, but no action was taken. He had written in the letter – If anything happens to him then who will take responsibility.
