Monsoon is very active in the central, western and southern states of the country. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert in 24 states on Wednesday (31 July).
Here, in Madhya Pradesh, half of the season’s rainfall i.e. 50% has occurred in just 38 days of the monsoon’s entry. Another strong system is getting active in the state. Heavy rains may start again in the state from Wednesday.
At the same time, monsoon has slowed down in Rajasthan and Bihar. The temperature in Jaisalmer and Ganganagar of Rajasthan has reached 40 degrees. In Bihar too, the trough line is outside the state boundary, due to which it is not raining. There is heat and humidity in many districts. The temperature in Gopalganj reached 40 degrees.

125 killed in Kerala landslide
Due to heavy rains in Wayanad, Kerala, landslides occurred at 4 different places late on Monday night. 4 villages were washed away in the landslides that occurred between 2 am and 6 am. So far 125 people have died. 116 are in the hospital, while more than 98 people are reported missing. - Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Gujarat may receive rainfall around 7 cm.
