Mamata met Uddhav Thackeray at his residence Matoshree in Mumbai on Friday. This was the first meeting between the two leaders after the Lok Sabha elections.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed that the BJP-led NDA government will not be able to complete its five-year term as it is not stable. When asked the reason for saying so, she said, “Khel shuru hu gaya hai. It will continue.”

Mamata said this on Friday while meeting Uddhav Thackeray at his residence Matoshree in Mumbai. She said that she will campaign for Thackeray in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Shiv Sena (UBT) and Trinamool Congress are partners in the INDIA Block. This was the first meeting between the two leaders after the Lok Sabha elections.

Mamata, who reached Mumbai to attend the wedding of businessman Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani, also met Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) president Sharad Pawar. This meeting took place at Pawar’s residence ‘Silver Oak’ in South Mumbai.

Mamata Banerjee reached Jio World Center to attend the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

Thackeray said- this is not a political meeting, but a family meeting
However, Thackeray described the meeting with Mamata as a family meeting rather than a political one. Thackeray told reporters, “We have a brother-sister relationship. She has come to my house earlier too. It was a family meeting. Please do not link it to politics. If I have something to say, I say it openly. I am not afraid.”

Mamata said- we do not support emergency
Banerjee attacked the BJP over the Centre’s announcement to observe June 25, the day of the Emergency proclamation, as Constitution Hatya Diwas. “We do not support the Emergency… (but) reform begins from home,” she said.

Mamata said that the maximum number of emergencies are being imposed during Modi’s tenure. He has replaced the Indian Penal Code (IPC) with the Indian Justice Code (BNS). No one will be able to understand what he has changed. Everyone is scared.

Mamata said- It was unethical to take Shiv Sena name and symbol from Uddhav
Mamata also said that it was completely unethical for the Shinde faction to take the Shiv Sena name and symbol from the Thackeray faction, but the party fought like a tiger. In fact, the Shiv Sena had split in June 2022 and the party’s name and ‘bow and arrow’ symbol were given to the faction led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
