It rained in some areas of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Rajasthan in the country on Saturday. At the same time, intense heat has started in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Western Rajasthan.
Heavy storms and rains have been going on in Bihar for the last 10 days. Hail also fell in Nalanda and Sheikhpura on Saturday. More than 600 trees fell in Patna district. More than 50 vehicles were damaged. It rained in 22 districts of Madhya Pradesh and hail fell in Seoni.
With the effect of Western Disturbance weakening in Rajasthan, the heat has started increasing. Barmer was the hottest in the country. The temperature here was 45.7°C and in Jaisalmer it was 45°C. The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning in Barmer, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur. The temperature in Rajkot, Gujarat was 43.7°C.
On Saturday, there was light rain along with thunderstorm in Nagaur, Ajmer, Tonk and Sawai Madhopur. A person whose tin shed was blown away during a storm in Bundi died after hitting a mobile tower.
