Manipur state president of Nitish Kumar’s party JDU had withdrawn support to the BJP-led government. Within an hour, the party high command not only reversed their decision but also removed state president Viren Singh from the post.

On Wednesday at 4:30 pm, JDU Manipur President had announced withdrawal of support. Shortly afterwards, JDU’s national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad appeared before the media and denied the withdrawal of support. He said- ‘Our support to NDA will continue.’
Prasad said that ‘Manipur unit had issued the letter without talking to the central leadership. This is indiscipline. We will continue to serve the people of the state with the Government of Manipur.
In the elections held in the year 2022, BJP had won 32 out of 60 seats. 6 JDU MLAs had won. Out of these, 5 MLAs had gone with BJP. Three independent MLAs also support the government.
Assembly elections are also to be held in Bihar this year. Along with the Centre, BJP and JDU are also allies in the Bihar government.
Congress said- the government in Manipur should have resigned itself. Congress spokesperson Gyan Ranjan has responded. Gyan Ranjan said that the situation in Manipur, the way atrocities were committed there. The government there should have resigned itself. After this, President’s rule should have been imposed there. He said that till date Prime Minister Modi has not visited Manipur.
RJD said- Manipur MLA has taken a courageous step
As soon as the news of JDU withdrawing support from the BJP government of Manipur came to light, RJD had reacted. Party spokesperson Ajaz Ahmed had said that ‘JDU MLA has decided to withdraw his support from the government in Manipur and has expressed his anger against BJP and Narendra Modi. Expressed no confidence. This kind of situation is going to be created in the entire country. The kind of politics BJP has been doing and the intentions it has had, such results were bound to emerge.
