Indian Youth Congress National President Uday Bhanu Chib, arrested for “shirtless protest” at the AI Impact Summit, has been granted bail. He has been released from Tihar Jail. Soon after coming out of jail, Chib said that we will continue our fight to stop the India US trade deal.
Visuals recorded outside Tihar Jail showed jubilant Youth Congress members carrying Chib on their shoulders and carrying him to a car.

Deal with Russia for 6 Navy helicopters and Shtil missiles
The Defense Ministry has decided to procure 6 Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) for the Indian Coast Guard and Shtil surface-to-air missiles for the Navy. An agreement worth Rs 2,901 crore has been signed with HAL for helicopters. The missiles will be purchased from Russia’s Rosoboronexport for Rs 2,182 crore. Helicopters will strengthen the security of coastal areas, Shtil missiles will increase the defense capability of naval warships.
Government said- updated Aadhaar of 1.2 crore students
The central government said that UIDAI completed the mandatory Aadhaar biometric update of 1.2 crore children aged 7 to 15 years under the school campaign. After UDISE+ integration in September 2025, camps were organized in 1.03 lakh schools and 4,000 machines were installed. This update is free until October 2026. Biometric update is necessary for scholarship and verification in exams like NEET, JEE, CUET.
