On January 25, the Border Security Force (BSF) shot an intruder crossing the border from Pakistan. On Tuesday his body was handed over to Pakistan Rangers.
The infiltrator was caught trying to enter Indian territory from Majra area in Ramgarh sector of Samba district late on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Arif, 61, a resident of Lahore.
Officials said BSF contacted Pakistan Rangers and informed them about the death of their citizen on the Indian side while trying to cross illegally.
