Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has raided an illegal Mephedrone (MD) drug manufacturing factory operating in Pelhar area of Nalasopara and seized drugs worth approximately ₹13.44 crore. This factory was operating just 300 meters away from Pelhar Police Station. During investigation, it came to light that Senior Police Inspector Jitendra Bodappa Wankoti and his team were negligent in patrolling and monitoring the area. In view of the serious negligence, the Home Department has suspended Inspector Vankoti with immediate effect. Investigation of the matter is ongoing.

Maharashtra ATS arrested a person involved in terrorist activities from Pune, accused of being associated with banned organization.
Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a person from Kondhwa area of Pune on charges of joining a banned organization for involvement in terrorist activities. The name of the person is Zuber Hungergekar.
ATS said that a case has been registered against Zuber under UAPA. The court has sent him to police custody till November 4. Literature and objectionable documents related to terrorist activities have been found from his house.
Recently ATS had raided a case related to ISIS module in Pune. During that time Zuber was interrogated. After keeping an eye on his activities, ATS has registered a separate case and arrested him.
