The Election Commission has issued new guidelines for post-poll regarding the West Bengal Assembly elections. In this, strict rules have been set for handling surveillance cameras and video data after voting. The purpose of these rules is to keep all records related to the voting process secure and transparent.
According to the new guidelines, the SD cards of the cameras installed at the polling booth will not be removed as soon as the voting is over. Even after removing the camera, it will be kept under the surveillance of the Sector Officer. SD cards can be removed only at designated data collection and receiving centres. This process will be completed in the presence of the Assistant Returning Officer.
The Election Commission has also said that the entire video data recorded during voting should be preserved in a secure and systematic manner. Further, no polling party or Booth Level Officer (BLO) will be allowed to leave the polling station until the camera equipment is completely removed.

9 women planning robbery in Siddheshwar Express arrested

Railway Protection Force (RPF) has foiled a robbery plot in Siddheshwar Express in Maharashtra. In this case, 9 women have been arrested, who were planning to rob the train.
At Kurduvadi railway station on Wednesday night, the RPF team saw three women in suspicious condition on the platform. After questioning, she was asked to leave the station, but she boarded the Latur Express.
After this RPF alerted other stations. These women got down at Jeur station and boarded the Mumbai-Solapur Siddheshwar Express, where the RPF team kept them under constant surveillance. Eventually he was detained at Solapur station.
Interrogation revealed that these women are part of a gang which is active in Solapur and Pune railway divisions. The age of the accused is between 18 to 40 years and they are residents of Dharashiv district.

Police saved 7 year old child from kidnapper in Delhi, accused tailor was taking him to Bihar

The 7 year old child who was kidnapped in Delhi was rescued safely by the police within 5 hours. Delhi Police arrested the accused from New Delhi Railway Station when he was trying to take the child to Bihar.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Adil Ansari, who is originally from Madhubani, Bihar. The accused had kidnapped the child from Dabri area. As soon as the information was received, Dabri police station started investigation. After being seen in CCTV, the location of the accused was traced and he was arrested. Accused Mohammad Adil Ansari used to work as a tailor in Dabri area.
