The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested former TMC MLA Saukat Mollah on Friday night in the Bhangar bomb blast case of West Bengal. The agency has described him as the main accused in the case. With the arrest the number of people arrested in this case has increased to four.
On March 19, one person was killed and three others were seriously injured in a bomb-making blast in South Bamuniya village of South 24 Parganas district. The NIA, which is investigating the case, had recently raided several places including Mollah’s house.
Mollah has been taken to the NIA office for questioning and will be produced in the court. His family claims that he had surrendered before the agency. Investigation of the matter is ongoing.

2 youths arrested in Karnataka, were in contact with Pakistani man; Allegation of anti-national conspiracy

Police in Tumkuru, Karnataka have arrested two youths, who are accused of conspiring to carry out anti-national activities by being in touch with a person based in Pakistan. The arrested accused have been identified as Allah Baksh and Zameer Khan.
According to the police, investigation of Instagram chat has revealed indications that both the accused were trying to spread unrest in India and organize the youth. Initial investigation has also revealed indications of conspiracies like murder and explosion.
However, these will be confirmed only after investigation. Both have been arrested in a joint action by the Intelligence Bureau and the local police. The investigation into the matter is ongoing and security agencies are investigating the entire network.
