For the first time this year, the air quality in Delhi was recorded in the ‘severe’ category. According to CPCB, Delhi’s AQI was 428 on Tuesday morning. After this, the Central Government has imposed strict restrictions under Stage-3 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).
At the same time, the Supreme Court was told that burning of stubble has started on a large scale in Punjab and Haryana, due to which the air of Delhi-NCR has become worse. Senior lawyer Aparajita Singh, who is assisting the court, cited NASA satellite images and said that the orders of the Supreme Court are being openly ignored.
