The wind direction suddenly changed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday evening. Due to this, flights were affected for some time. The wind started blowing from the east, due to which 8 planes had to be diverted to Jaipur instead of Delhi.
An airport official said that flights of Indigo, Air India and Air India Express could not land in Delhi between 6 pm and 8 pm. Due to security reasons he was sent to Jaipur. However, now the situation has become normal and flight operations have resumed.
