In Telangana, since September 2024 till now, 735 doctors have become victims of cyber fraud and have lost about ₹ 29.88 crore. Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) Director Shikha Goyal said the biggest loss was due to business and investment related frauds, where 127 doctors lost ₹ 22.39 crore.
Apart from this, many cases of cyber crimes related to digital arrest, identity theft, fake advertisements, job, loan, insurance, UPI, matrimonial and cryptocurrency have also come to light. Officials at the cyber security awareness program said that even highly educated and professional people are not safe from cyber fraud. Police have appealed to doctors to remain alert and report any cyber crime immediately.

Bus helper murdered in Delhi for protesting against robbery
Musharraf, a 25-year-old bus helper, was stabbed to death in Delhi’s Shastri Park area. Musharraf, a resident of Alwar, Rajasthan, was returning home from work when the miscreants tried to rob him. When he protested, he was attacked several times. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he died. Police is busy investigating.
Death toll in Delhi’s Govindpuri fire reaches 4, woman dies
The death toll in the fire that broke out at around 2 am on June 12 in a residential building located in Tughlakabad Extension, Delhi, has increased to 4. Guddi Devi, 50, who suffered severe burns, died during treatment. Before this, his son Pankaj, daughter Sonia and mother Sushila Devi had died. Police have arrested 4 people on charges of arson.
