5 students died in a collision between a truck and a car on the Chennai-Tirupati National Highway in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. Police said that 2 people injured in the accident have been rescued. Both are admitted in the hospital. The incident happened on Sunday evening.
All the students who died were studying in a private engineering college. Tiruttani police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

NEET PG 2024 exam was held in 170 cities of the country, admit cards were issued to 2.28 lakh candidates
NEET PG 2024 exam was held on Sunday (August 11) in 170 cities across the country. The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) said that this year admit cards were issued to about 2 lakh 28 thousand 540 candidates.
More than 1950 independent evaluators and 300 members of the flying squad were deployed at the exam centers. NEET PG exam is conducted to provide admission to medical graduates in 52 thousand post graduate seats available in India.
Manish Sisodia will march on foot in Delhi from tomorrow, held his first meeting with party leaders after 17 months on Sunday
AAP leader Manish Sisodia will take out a padyatra (foot march) in Delhi from tomorrow i.e. 13th August. During this, he will meet the people of Delhi. Earlier on Sunday, Sisodia held a meeting with top AAP leaders to discuss the strategy for the Delhi assembly elections to be held early next year.
Sisodia will hold a meeting with MLAs on Monday and with party councillors on Tuesday. Manish Sisodia came out of Tihar Jail on 9 August after 17 months. The Supreme Court granted him bail in the CBI and ED cases related to the Delhi liquor policy scam.
