Jammu and Kashmir administration has issued new rules for ex-gratia amount for the people affected by the deterioration in law and order. There is a provision to give Rs 1 lakh on the death of a citizen and Rs 25 lakh on the death of a Defense or Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel resident of the Union Territory.
On the orders of the Lieutenant Governor, the administration has issued instructions to sanction ex-gratia relief under Security Related Expenditures (SRE). Irrespective of whether a soldier resident of Jammu and Kashmir dies inside or outside the state, his family will get Rs 25 lakh.
Fadnavis said- Decision on reservation will be within the ambit of the Constitution, will give justice to all

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said the government will listen to the reservation demands of different communities. However, decisions will be taken within the framework of the Constitution and rules.
Speaking to the media, Fadnavis said, “The government runs as per the Constitution and will continue to do so. It does not work under pressure or outside the rules. However, the government listens to everyone.”
His statement has come amidst the political debate that has started again regarding the demands of reservation. Discussion is going on especially regarding the demands related to Maratha community and Other Backward Class i.e. OBC category.
CBI arrests accused in 2021 election violence case from Bengal

The CBI has arrested proclaimed offender Gopal Das alias Vishal Paul in the murder case that took place during the 2021 post-poll violence. He was caught from Ravindranagar in North 24 Parganas area of West Bengal.
This case is related to the alleged murder of Avijit Sarkar on May 2, 2021 in Shitalatala Lane, Kolkata. According to CBI, the accused was absconding since the FIR was registered and never participated in the investigation or trial.
CBI had announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for the arrest of Gopal Das alias Vishal Paul. He was arrested based on human intelligence and technical inputs.
