The only goal of the match was scored by Jugraj Singh in the 51st minute. China’s team could not score a goal even after four quarters. India got 4 penalty corners while China got 5. But both the teams could not convert them into goals. Earlier, in the match for the third place, Pakistan defeated South Korea 5-2.

This goal for India was scored by Jugraj Singh in the 7th minute of the fourth quarter. Here captain Harmanpreet passed the ball to Abhishek, after which Jugraj scored a goal by deflecting inside the D.

In the 56th minute of the match, China removed its goalkeeper to equalise the Indian lead but China failed to score. Jugraj’s goal proved to be the decider.
