Indian cricket team’s young batsman Sai Sudarshan got injured in the match against Madhya Pradesh in Vijay Hazare Trophy. He has a fracture in his rib. It is difficult for 24 year old Sudarshan to play in the remaining matches for Tamil Nadu. However, he is likely to be available for Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Sai Sudarshan played the last International against South Africa in Guwahati from 22 to 26 November 2024. He was not a part of the white ball series.

A BCCI source said that he suffered a fracture in his right 7th rib (anterior cortex) while completing a run by diving in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match played between Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh in Ahmedabad. Sudarshan may have to stay out of the field for more than a month. At present, Sudarshan is not a part of the Indian cricket team.

Sudarshan’s ribs have already been injured. Sudarshan had reported to the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru on December 29 after suffering the injury. He was scanned there and today’s report revealed a fracture. The spot where he suffered the fracture was the same spot he had suffered during a net session early in the tournament.

It will take 8 weeks to heal It is being told that this type of injury usually takes six to eight weeks to heal. According to the scan report, ‘Sai is currently working on strength and conditioning of the lower body. Upper body training will be started in the next seven to 10 days. Sudarshan’s recent performance in Test cricket has been disappointing, where he has not been able to perform well in nine out of 11 innings.
