Vijay Kumar, a 30-year-old Indian man, was murdered in Britain.
30 year old Indian student Vijay Kumar was brutally stabbed to death in Britain. He was a resident of Charkhi Dadri district of Haryana. The family has appealed to the Indian government for immediate help, impartial investigation and to bring the body to India as soon as possible.
This tragic incident happened on the night of 15 November on Barbourn Road in Worcester city. Vijay Kumar was found lying on the road with serious injuries. He was immediately taken to the hospital, but he died after some time.
According to the initial police report, there was a fight over some issue before the murder, after which he was stabbed several times with a knife. However, the exact motive of the murder is not yet clear and the British police has not released any details about the incident.

The family said – our son became silent forever
Charkhi Dadri MLA Sunil Satpal Sangwan, while sharing information about this incident on social media, has demanded immediate intervention from the Central and State Government.
He wrote, “We appeal to the government to bring the student’s body to India as soon as possible and to ensure that the culprits are given the harshest possible punishment.”
The family says that Vijay was a very promising and hardworking student. His son, who had gone to fulfill his dream of studying abroad, has now become silent forever.

Suspicion of involvement of a person from Haryana-Punjab
Vijay resigned from his job at the Central Board of Excise and Customs in early 2025 and applied for higher education in Britain. He was studying at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol.
He was posted in Kochi at his last posting when he left the government job. Vijay’s family in Haryana is suspecting that someone from Haryana or Punjab may be involved in this crime.
Attacks on Indians are increasing in foreign countries

In August, Indian student Charanpreet Singh was brutally beaten by some suspects in Adelaide city of Australia.
In the last few months, incidents of attacks on Indian students and citizens abroad have increased rapidly, especially in countries like the US, Canada, Britain, Germany and Ireland.
According to government data, 91 attacks were reported from 2020 to 2024. More than 40 cases were registered in 2024 alone. These include stabbings, shootings, racial violence and mysterious deaths.
Experts say that with the increasing numbers, the safety of Indian students has become a matter of concern.
Recently, Saurabh Anand, a citizen of Indian origin in Australia, was fatally attacked by five minors outside the Central Square Shopping Center in Melbourne. Saurabh’s wrist was cut by the attackers.
