In the year 1849, when the British captured Punjab, this diamond was handed over to the then Queen Victoria of Britain. Later it was placed in the royal crown of Britain along with many other diamonds. Since the death of Queen Elizabeth, demands have been raised several times to bring Kohinoor back to India. India has asked for Kohinoor back several times. The Kohinoor studded crown was first worn by the Queen Mother of Britain. After this, Queen Elizabeth got this crown. Apart from Kohinoor, this crown has many precious stones studded in it including the precious diamond of Africa, the Great Star of Africa. Its value is estimated to be around 40 crore dollars.
