Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar 5’ has been attracting attention across the country ever since its theatrical release in December. The audience is praising its amazing story and strong acting. One of the scenes that has touched people’s hearts is a very emotional scene of Saumya Tandon and Akshaye Khanna, in which her character confronts her husband after a personal tragedy.
Now Saumya has told through a social media post that the strong slap shown in the film was real and to maintain authenticity, it was filmed in a single take.

Saumya shared behind-the-scenes pictures from the shoot on X and talked about the emotional scene with which she entered the film. Describing that moment, she wrote, ‘This was my entry scene in the film, and I am really happy with the amount of love it has received. In this scene I felt everything at once. Anger at my husband because he was the cause of our son’s death, helplessness and despair, and deep pain between us. And yes, I actually slapped Akshay once. During their close-up, when Aditya insisted that it should look real. I was thinking of cheating, but it didn’t happen. My breakdown close-up was done in one take.
In another photo, Soumya is seen sitting on the ground in the scene of a prayer meeting after the death of her son. Describing the emotional pain of that moment, he wrote, ‘This was a prayer meeting after the death of my son. The pain I felt at that moment has stayed with me – it came straight from the heart.’
