The decomposed body of a 28-year-old woman was found while cleaning a vacant plot in Sampigehalli area of Bengaluru. According to the police, the woman’s husband Sagar Chandra Rawat strangled his wife to death after a fight on August 11. He kept the dead body in the house for three days. Then he wrapped it in a sheet and threw it in a nearby plot along with the bed. A campaign to clean vacant plots was being run by the Bengaluru Municipal Corporation on September 2. Meanwhile, the cleaning workers found the body of Anasuya Behera. But information about the matter has come in the media today. According to the information, the body was decomposed. Stray dogs had eaten some parts of the dead body. Due to the poor condition of the body, the woman was identified from her clothing tag. The police have arrested the husband. How was identification done through clothing tags? Police traced the purchase of clothes through tags. The purchase was from a mall. Based on the information received from there, the police identified the woman as Anasuya Behera. The accused worked in a hotel. Anasuya and Rawat got married after their relationship. Both of them had come to Bengaluru only a few months ago. Rawat worked in a hotel. Anasuya used to work in a clothing shop. According to the police, there were frequent fights between the two over money. During investigation, the police came to know that even after the murder of his wife, Rawat was going to work in the hotel as usual. During interrogation at the hotel, the police got information about the couple’s frequent disputes. Claim of confession during interrogation: Police took Rawat into custody and brought him to the police station for questioning. Police say that during interrogation he confessed to the murder. Sampigehalli police arrested the accused within a week of finding the body. He was sent to judicial custody. The cleaning of the vacant plot started following the instructions issued by the municipal body.
