There was heavy rain in Srinagar on Monday.

Due to the formation of cyclone in the north-western part of Rajasthan, the weather has changed in large parts of the country. A long trough of clouds is extending from south-east Uttar Pradesh to Tamil Nadu, due to which rainfall activities have intensified over North, Central and South India. Whereas, in the last 24 hours, strong winds and heavy rains have been recorded in Bihar, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and North-Eastern states.

In Bihar, more than 20 people have died in 6 districts due to lightning and weather-related accidents. The next 48 to 72 hours are considered very sensitive for the state. At the same time, in Haryana, more than 15 thousand trees were broken in the storm that moved at a speed of 30 to 80 kilometers per hour on the night of Sunday-Monday.

Haryana Skill Employment Corporation (HKRN) employee Adesh Kumar (29) died after a tree fell on him in Tohana, Fatehabad. A new phase of cyclone is active over Rajasthan, due to which there is a possibility of wind speed of 30-50 km per hour and hailstorm in Haryana, Delhi NCR and Madhya Pradesh during 24 hours.

In Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh also, rain and snowfall may continue for 48 hours. There are chances of intermittent rain and lightning for 5 days in South India from Chhattisgarh to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. An alert has been issued for severe thunderstorm and rain during the next six days in Odisha.
