Due to torrential rains in Nepal, the rivers of Bihar are in spate, due to which many districts are in the grip of floods. Due to water logging in more than 10 schools of Bagaha-Supaul, schools have been closed till further orders. 8 rivers in Uttar Pradesh are flowing above the danger mark. Many villages have been flooded. Gandak river has flooded due to release of water from Nepal. 1,400 families from 2 villages have been affected. 600 families have left their homes and gone to safe places. Due to the recent heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh, 2,405 km long roads have been damaged. Minister BC Janardhan Reddy said that it is estimated that around Rs 1,500 crore will be spent on their repairs. Maximum 412 km of roads have been damaged in Srikakulam district. The monsoon system has started weakening in Madhya Pradesh. On Monday, there was sunny and shady weather in many districts including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur. Due to lack of system activity from Monday, there will be scorching sunshine in many districts. Monsoon activity has not stopped completely in Chhattisgarh yet. Even today, the rainy season is likely to continue in many districts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, during bad weather, strong winds may blow at some places.
