He also said that attacks on minority Hindus are increasing in Bangladesh and the government should take concrete steps for their safety.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Vinod Bansal has said that this violence happening before the elections is a warning to the whole world and the United Nations (UN) should immediately intervene in it. He raised the question why international human rights organizations are silent on this matter.

Earlier, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres had issued a statement appealing to the people of Bangladesh to stay away from violence, reduce tension and maintain peace so that the elections can be held in a peaceful environment.

At the same time, UN Human Rights Chief Volker Turk also said that revenge and violence will worsen the situation and it is important that people get a chance to express their views and participate in public life without fear.

There has been a reaction in India also on the murder of Dipu Das. Actress and former MP Jaya Prada strongly condemned this incident and said that it is a very heart-wrenching incident.

He said that an innocent Hindu youth was killed by the mob and then he was treated inhumanely. Calling it an attack on religion, Jaya Prada said that one can no longer remain silent on the demolition of temples, attacks on women and such incidents. He demanded that the victims get justice as soon as possible.

Earlier, actress Jhanvi Kapoor called the murder of Dipu Chandra Das as genocide. Jhanvi stressed that extremism in any form should be strongly opposed.

On December 25, Jhanvi posted a note in her Instagram story with the title Dipu Chandra Das. He wrote- ‘What is happening in Bangladesh is barbaric. This is genocide and it is not an isolated incident.

Deepu used to work in a textile factory

Dipu used to work in textile company Pioneer Knitwears in Bhaluka of Mymensingh district. A rumor spread in the factory that Deepu had committed blasphemy. This news reached outside the factory also. By around 9 pm a crowd gathered outside the factory.

The crowd entered and dragged Deepu away. Started beating him with kicks, punches and sticks. Tore his clothes. During this time, Deepu died, so a rope was tied around his neck and his dead body was hanged from a tree on the roadside. Then they set it on fire.

Another Hindu youth was murdered on Thursday

In Bangladesh also on Thursday, a Hindu youth was beaten to death by a mob. The incident took place around 11:00 pm on Wednesday night in Hosendanga village of Rajbari district. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Amrit Mandal alias Samrat.

Police said that Amrit was killed by the mob on charges of extortion. He was a resident of Hosendanga village. Police said that two cases are registered against Amrit in Pangsha police station. These also include a murder case.
