Friday is the 5th day of the second phase of the budget session in Parliament. Even today, MPs from opposition parties can create ruckus in the House over the rising prices of LPG across the country. On Thursday, the government had responded to the opposition’s allegations in the House on the shortage and rising prices of LPG and oil. Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, kerosene or Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) in the country. The government also appealed to the opposition not to spread rumors and fake narratives on this issue. Responding to the concerns raised by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Puri said that the first priority of the government is to provide gas to the kitchens of more than 33 crore families, especially the poor and deprived sections. He said that domestic supply is completely safe and there has been no change in the delivery cycle of gas.
