There have been reports of shots being fired near former US President Donald Trump in the US state of Florida. His campaign and the Secret Service have informed that he is safe. It is not yet clear whether the shots were fired at Trump or not.

The US Secret Service said they were investigating the matter. The incident happened just before 2 pm US time on Sunday. It was 11:30 pm in India at that time.

Nearly two months ago, Trump was attacked during a rally in the US state of Pennsylvania, in which a bullet grazed his ear.

Trump returned to Florida this weekend after touring the West Coast, where he attended a rally in Las Vegas on Friday night and a fundraiser in Utah.
