Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has made a big revelation about her bitter experiences in the film industry. In an interview given to Nayandeep Rakshit, Taapsee told that even after the shooting dates of the film were confirmed, she was fired just because the wife of the film’s hero did not like her.

According to Taapsee, when she asked the reason for being dropped from the film, the makers told her the same reason. Without naming any actor or film, he said that at the beginning of his career he had to face replacement without any reason.

Taapsee laughingly narrated the story of the hero’s wife.

‘Hero’s wife didn’t like me’

In the conversation, Taapsee shared the incident of being removed from the film. Taapsee said, I was told that the hero of the film has replaced me. Only God knows the reason. I keep guessing the reasons. Perhaps he had a feeling of insecurity or he wanted someone in the film who was closer to him.

No concrete reason was given to me. When I kept asking the reason for my exclusion, I was only told that the hero did not want me in the film. Taapsee further said, the worst reason given for replacing me was that ‘the hero’s wife does not like you.’ To this day I don’t know why she didn’t like me.

Scenes were hyper-sexualized

Taapsee also talked about shooting scenes in the early days of her career. He said, “When you are new, you do not know that a scene is being hyper-sexualized on screen. While shooting, you do not understand in which direction the scene is going. I thought that this scene would be very aesthetic, but when I saw it on the screen, I felt that it was not needed at all.”

He said that people around him said that it was normal and everyone was doing it, so he thought it was a part of the job. Later I understood that work can be done without looking glamorous and hyper-sexualization is not necessary for glamour.

‘To escape, I am rejecting films myself’

Earlier, while talking to news agency PTI, Taapsee had given her stand on the selection of films and getting the same type of roles. He told that a separate set of 5 actresses has been decided for films dealing with glamorous and serious issues in the industry.

Taapsee said, “I have started rejecting films for this very reason. I clearly tell the makers that the audience will easily guess the ending of the film, so do not cast me in this film. I myself refuse the makers so that I do not get stuck in the same type of role.”

Taapsee made her Bollywood debut with director David Dhawan’s film ‘Chashme Baddoor’.

The actress was seen in the film ‘Gandhari’

Taapsee Pannu has made her own identity in Bollywood with films like ‘Pink’, ‘Thappad’, ‘Haseen Dilruba’, ‘Shabash Mithu’ and ‘Danky’. Recently she has been seen in the film ‘Gandhari’.
