Iranian Foreign Minister Saeed Abbas Araghchi on Sunday condemned the US to carry out airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear installations and described it as a serious violation of international law, United Nations Charter and Nuclear Non-Commerration Treaty. In a stringent statement posted on X, Araghchi accused the US of the United Nations Security Council of targeting peaceful nuclear installations and ‘criminal behavior’. The Iranian Foreign Minister said in a post, ‘This morning incidents are going to instill and it will have long -term results.

Every member of the United Nations should be worried about this very dangerous, chaotic and criminal behavior. Citing the provisions of the United Nations Charter, Araghchi also said that Iran reserves all options to exercise its right to self -defense. A few moments after the post of the Foreign Minister, Iran’s Foreign Ministry also strongly condemned the attacks as a direct attack on its sovereignty and called for immediate action from the United Nations Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
