Why is banana peel so beneficial for plants?
Potassium is found in good quantity in banana peel. This nutrient helps in formation of more buds in plants, enhancing the color of flowers and helps in producing better fruits in fruit plants. Apart from this, magnesium and phosphorus are also present in it, which help in strengthening the roots and increasing the growth of the plant. If the plants get the right amount of potassium from time to time, then their health remains better and the flowers also last longer.

The biggest mistake not to make
Many people, after eating banana, cut its wet peels into small pieces and put them directly in the soil of the pot. At first glance this seems like an easy method, but this is the biggest mistake. The natural sugar present in wet peels starts rotting quickly in the soil. This increases the risk of fungus formation. Gradually it affects the roots and the plant starts becoming weak. Not only this, due to its smell, ants, flies and other insects also start coming towards the pot. Therefore, fresh banana peel should never be put directly in the soil.

Method 1: Banana peel liquid fertilizer
If you want quick results, then banana peel liquid fertilizer is considered the best option. For this, take three or four banana peels and put them in one liter of water and seal them in a container with a lid. Keep this box in a shady place for three to four days. During this time the nutrition of the peels will dissolve in the water and the color of the water will also change. Now filter this water. Keep in mind that this solution is quite thick. It is not right to put it directly on the plants.

Correct way to apply liquid fertilizer
Add two to three liters of clean water in the prepared liquid. When the solution becomes completely diluted, then pour it into the roots of the plants. This fertilizer is considered very beneficial especially for roses, mogra, hibiscus, tomatoes, chillies and other flowering plants. If it is used once every 15 to 20 days, new buds and good growth can be seen within a few days.

Keep these things in mind also
Do not use banana peel fertilizer excessively. Excessive quantity of any fertilizer can have adverse effect, if the plant is already suffering from any disease or fungus, then first take care of it and then give organic fertilizer.

Second Method: Banana Peel Powder
If you want to make organic fertilizer that can be used for a long time, then you can prepare powder from banana peels. First of all, dry the peels completely in good sunlight. When they become completely hard and dry, then grind them in the mixer and make a fine powder. This powder can be stored safely in an airtight container for several months.
