PM Modi held a meeting with Union Secretaries on Thursday. According to the PMO statement, Modi asked officials to connect with universities and youth. So that new ideas can be found in making policies. After the demonstration of students in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar last month regarding NEET paper leak, the government is giving preference to the youth. For this, the PM also communicated directly with the students through reels on Instagram. Not only this, the PM had also asked his ministers to be active on social media. PM said – Officers should fulfill their responsibilities well. Modi told on X that in the meeting with the secretaries, the work of the ministries related to infrastructure, connectivity, security and foreign affairs was discussed. The Prime Minister said that along with paying attention to today’s problems and statistics, secretaries should also think about the future of the country. PM said – monitoring of AI is necessary, innovation should increase Education and Youth: There should be more communication between the government, universities and youth, so that new and different ideas can be included in the policies. Infrastructure and Connectivity: Asked to work on infrastructure and connectivity as per future needs with better coordination between ministries. Security and Foreign Policy: Discussed the way forward for the ministries dealing with security and foreign affairs. Data and AI: Emphasis on better use of data and AI. Human monitoring and decision making is essential in AI. Research and Innovation: Talked about increasing research and innovation in all sectors, especially the defense sector. Defence: Emphasis was laid on making India more competitive at the global level by increasing research in the defense sector. Maritime Sector: Pointed out the need to make a comprehensive strategy to strengthen the maritime sector. Shipbuilding: After shipbuilding got the status of infrastructure, it was asked to see whether the goals set by it are being achieved or not. Ports: Said to focus on ‘port-led development’ instead of just building ports. Manufacturing and Export: Emphasis was laid on providing better connectivity to manufacturing units and export units. —————————–
