Rawalpindi Police misbehaved with the sisters of former Prime Minister of Pakistan and jailed Imran Khan. He was dragged on the road and forcefully detained.

According to media reports, this incident happened when his sisters had reached Adiala jail for the weekly meeting with Imran Khan, but they were not allowed to meet.

The party alleged that not only Khan’s sisters, but Khyber province minister Meena Khan Afridi, MP Shahid Khattak and several women activists were also beaten up by the police.

PTI said that the court has given Imran Khan the right to meet his family, but the government is using these meetings as a means of oppression and pressure.

In a video posted by the party, Alima and Uzma are seen handling Noreen, who appears extremely nervous. Alima says she was dragged on the road.

In another video, Noreen tells that female policemen grabbed her hair and threw her on the ground. He said that everyone was sitting peacefully and he could not understand why this was done suddenly.

Imran Khan has been in jail for 3 years

More than 100 cases are pending against Imran Khan and he is in jail since August 2023. He has been sentenced to 14 years in prison in a corruption case, which includes charges like selling government gifts (Toshakhana case) and leaking government secrets.

Imran is accused of selling Pakistan government’s land worth billions of rupees cheaply to Al-Qadir Trust. Imran was arrested in this case on 9 May 2023. After this, many important army bases were attacked across the country.

Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had booked Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and 6 other persons in December 2023 in the Al-Qadir Trust case. However, before this case was registered against Imran, he was already lodged in Adiala jail in the Toshakhana case.
