Pakistan conducted airstrike in Kunar and Helmand provinces of Afghanistan on Thursday. According to the Afghan Taliban government, 9 people died and 11 were injured in these attacks. Women and children are also included among the dead.

Taliban government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid has given this information. According to Reuters, he told that 3 houses have been destroyed in both the provinces in Pakistani attacks.

This was Pakistan’s 11th attack on Afghanistan. According to reports, around 800 people have died so far in these attacks.

Pakistan claims- attacked terrorist hideouts, 22 fighters died

Pakistan claims that it targeted the hideouts of terrorists at two places. At least 22 fighters were killed in this.

However, Zabihullah Mujahid has condemned the attacks. He said that Pakistan has done wrong. This is a violation of international rules and cannot be justified.

Tension increased between Pakistan and Taliban

Pakistan says that recently Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) fighters tried to infiltrate into Pakistan from Paktia and Nangarhar provinces of Afghanistan. After this there was firing between the two sides on the border.

Pakistan alleged that drones were also sent from Afghanistan, while the Taliban government denied these allegations.

On Monday, Pakistan carried out an airstrike in Afghanistan, in which according to it, 28 terrorists were killed. Afghan officials claimed that civilians were also killed in the attack. After this, Pakistan carried out air strikes on 10 targets in Afghanistan.

Pakistan calls TTP ‘Fitna-ul-Khawarij’. TTP and Afghan Taliban are separate organizations. However, there is said to be a nexus between the two.

Why fight between Pakistan and TTP?

After America’s attack on Afghanistan in 2001, Pakistan supported America. This angered TTP, who considered it against Islam.

TTP believes that the Pakistan government does not believe in true Islam, hence it attacks against it.

TTP has deep links with the Afghan Taliban. Both groups support each other.

After the Afghan Taliban came to power in 2021, Pakistan launched attacks in Afghanistan targeting TTP.
