During Muttaki’s visit in October, India and Afghanistan had agreed to set up a bilateral trade committee to explore investment opportunities in the minerals, energy and infrastructure sectors. On the diplomatic front, India has given full embassy status to its technical mission in Kabul, which is being seen as India’s serious commitment towards engagement with the Taliban government.
