Pakistan’s popular singer and rapper Talha Anjum recently performed in Nepal. During this, the singer waved the tricolor on the stage, due to which his Pakistani fans got enraged. As the controversy escalated, the singer himself has expressed his displeasure on social media and said that his art has no boundaries.

There is no room for hatred in my heart. There is no limit to my art. If my raising the Indian flag creates controversy, so be it, I will still do so. I don’t care about the media, war-mongering governments and their propaganda. Urdu rap was, is and will always remain beyond the borders.

What is the reason for the dispute?
Talha Anjum had given a performance in Nepal on 16 November. He was rapping on the stage, when a fan standing in the crowd threw the tricolor flag at him.
Talha wrapped the tricolor around his neck and continued singing. He continued performing while holding the tricolor. After finishing the song, he held the tricolor well and showed it to the fans.
While on one hand Talha Anjum’s Indian fans are praising her act, on the other hand her Pakistani fans are criticizing her for holding the tricolor.
Let us tell you that Talha Anjum has a good fan following in India, however, after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, along with all the Pakistani artists, Talha’s account has also been restricted in India. Due to this ban, the views on the singer’s YouTube account had reduced considerably.
