Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, who arrived in China on a 10 -day visit, visited China’s Aviation Industry Complex on Sunday. According to Pakistani newspaper The Dawn, Zardari is the first foreign head of state to visit this place. His son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and daughter Asifa Bhutto-Zardi were also present on the occasion.
Zardari met the engineers and scientists of the company and appreciated the capabilities of China -made aircraft. During this, Zardari understood the process of building J-10 and JF-17 Thunder aircraft in the complex. Apart from this, he also inquired about the fifth generation J-20 stealth fighter aircraft.
Zardari said that J-10 and JF-17 have strengthened the Pakistani Air Force and these aircraft against India proved to be important for Pakistan. He also said that Pakistan and China will continue to extend the cooperation in defense production and aviation.

Zardari described Chinese trains as a miracle of engineering
Zardari also experienced China’s high-speed train. He went on a half -hour train journey from Chengdu to Mianyang. During the visit, he praised China’s transport system. He described pollution free electric train engine and earthquake pre -warning techniques as ‘miracle of railway engineering’.
Chinese officials told Zardari that China has the largest high-speed rail network in the world, which is more than 45,000 kilometers in length. Trains run at a speed of 350 kmph here and take more than two billion passengers every year. This network connects almost all large Chinese cities.

The relations between Pakistan and China have been going on since 1950, when the two countries formed diplomatic relations. Since then, both of them have named their relationship as ‘evergreen strategic cooperative partnership’. Efforts will be made to further this partnership in this journey.
After Chengdu, Zardari will also go to Shanghai and Shinjiang. China has now become Pakistan’s largest arms supplier. In addition, trade between the two countries has also increased rapidly and in 2024 it had exceeded $ 23 billion.
