The police have got a big success in the Krishnanagar murder case in Nadia district of West Bengal. The police arrested Deshraj Singh, who is absconding after killing a Chhatra named Ishita Malik, from Nautanwa town in Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh in the early hours of Monday. He was trying to flee to Nepal from there. The police have taken him to Krishnanagar Kotwali on transit remand.
According to the police, accused Deshraj Singh shot his girlfriend Ishita Malika a week ago in Palpada area of Krishnanagar. After this, absconding was going on with the help of his gangster brothers and influential relatives. Every day, the whereabouts were dodged and dodging the police. Even cars and fake documents were arranged to cross the border of Nepal.
Meanwhile, the police arrested the uncle of the accused and strictly questioned, and many important information came to light. After this, three police teams of Krishnanagar Kotwali were sent to UP. During this period, the accused was controlled from Nautanwa after continuous monitoring. It is being told that Ishita wanted to end the relationship with Deshraj. Angered by this, he entered her house and shot him.
After carrying out this incident, many family members and relatives had helped to save the accused. The police had earlier arrested Deshraj’s maternal uncle Kuldeep Singh from Jamnagar in Gujarat. He had provided fake paper and resources to escape. Raghavendra Pratap Singh, the father of the accused, was under house arrest in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. They will also be brought for questioning.
The murder of Ishita Malik united police agencies from Bengal to Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Now the accused is on transit remand of Krishnanagar Kotwali police station.
