Local people also said that what was being described as a ‘meat shop’ was not actually a meat shop. Yes, there is definitely a meat and fish market inside the market right next to that structure. But what was demolished was an illegal structure and a union office.
That is, the TMC leaders were accused of trying to give a different color to the matter by calling an illegally occupied structure a meat shop.
