A mini auction of players for the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was held on 16 December (Tuesday) at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. Australian all-rounder Cameron Green was the most expensive player in the mini auction, who was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for Rs 25.20 crore. KKR also added Sri Lankan fast bowler Mathisha Pathirana for a price of Rs 18 crore. Uncapped players Prashant Veer and Karthik Sharma joined Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a similar amount of Rs 14.20 crore.
