Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly believes that Rishabh Pant can become a great batsman in Test cricket. During an event in Kolkata, Ganguly said, ‘Pant is moving towards becoming a big batsman in Test cricket, but he needs to improve in the shorter format.’
26-year-old star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant made a comeback in IPL almost one and a half years after being injured in a car accident. He was then also a part of the team that won the T20 World Cup. Now after a long wait, he has also made a comeback in the Test team. He is part of the team for the first Test against Bangladesh. Pant also played his last Test in 2022 against Bangladesh.

Rishabh Pant has scored 2271 runs in Test cricket for India.
Pant is one of India’s best Test batsmen Regarding Rishabh Pant, Sourav Ganguly said, ‘I consider Rishabh to be one of India’s best Test batsmen. I am not surprised that he is back in the team and he will continue to play for India in Tests.’
He further said, ‘If he continues to perform like this, he will become an all-time great player in Tests. According to me, he needs to improve in the shorter formats. With the talent he has, I am sure that with time he will become the best.’

Ganguly spoke on Shami’s fitness Mohammed Shami was not selected in the squad selected against Bangladesh due to injury. He is out of the team due to ankle operation. Ganguly said about Shami, I am confident that the fast bowler will be fully fit before the Australian tour later this year.
India’s bowling attack is very good right now. I am looking forward to India’s tour of Australia. The real test of the team will be there. After this, the team has to tour England in July and both these tours will be very important for India. Shami’s return along with the presence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj will further strengthen the Indian fast bowling attack.

Mohammed Shami is recovering from his ankle injury.
Congratulations to Bangladesh: Ganguly The test series between India and Bangladesh is starting from 19th September. Bangladesh recently defeated Pakistan 2-0 in the test series at their home. On this, Ganguly said, it will be very difficult for Bangladesh to defeat India. It is not easy to defeat Pakistan on its home ground, so congratulations to the Bangladesh players. But the Indian team is different, India performs well in every format. The team’s batting, bowling and fielding are all strong, so it will be difficult for Bangladesh to win in India.
