1. BJP will not form alliance with anyone in Punjab elections
BJP National President Nitin Nabin put an end to the speculations of alliance between Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Punjab Assembly elections 2027. In an interview given to a TV channel, he has said that BJP will contest the elections alone in Punjab.
Nitin Nabin clearly said that BJP will be seen in a new form in this election in Punjab. The organization is working keeping the elections in mind. The party is fully prepared to enter the election fray. There will be no cooperation from anyone in this.

2. MP Amritpal Singh on 2 days police remand

Amritpal Singh, MP from Khadur Sahib, Punjab, was produced in Ajnala court through video conferencing. From where he has been sent on police remand for 2 days. This information was given by Advocate Karamveer Singh, who is representing Amritpal Singh’s case.
Let us tell you that a special team of Punjab Police had reached Dibrugarh Central Jail in Assam on April 21, where Amritpal Singh was lodged under the National Security Act i.e. NSA. However, his detention under NSA ended yesterday on 22nd April, after which the police is now intensifying further action in this old case.
Amritpal Singh’s lawyer Advocate Rituraj Singh said that the NSA has ended, but legal action under FIR number 39 is going on. Many serious charges including section 307 have been registered in this case. Other associates involved in this case have already appeared in the court. Amritpal was arrested from Rode village of Moga in April 2023. In February 2023, Amritpal along with his supporters broke the barricade and entered Ajnala police station to free his comrade. 3. Threat to blow up schools and railway tracks, students sent home

Bomb threats were received against 3 schools in Ludhiana on Thursday. These schools include Spring Dale Senior Secondary School Sherpur, DAV School BRS Nagar and Manav Rachna International School. The councilor said that along with schools, threats have also been received to blow up railway tracks.
After receiving the threat, holidays were declared in all three schools. Parents reached schools to pick up their children. Police and bomb squad teams reached the spot and started the search. Anil Sharma, Principal of Spring Dale Public School, said that the school received a threat through an email at around 9:15 am. In the email it was said that the school would be bombed.
As soon as the threat was received, the school management informed the parents of all the students without any delay. Principal Anil Sharma said that this is the first time such a threat has been received in the school, due to which there is an atmosphere of fear among the staff and parents. 6. 3 year old girl burnt in fire, kept suffering for 6 hours

In Ludhiana, a 3-year-old girl set herself on fire while playing with a matchbox at home. The girl was wearing a nylon frock, which caught fire within a few seconds. The frock was stuck to her body. After this she kept swinging in the fire and suffering.
His father arrived to save the innocent child, whose hands also got badly burnt. After this the girl was taken to a private clinic, where the doctor gave first aid and advised to take the girl to the hospital. The girl was admitted to the civil hospital about 6 hours after the incident. The girl has suffered 60% burns.
This accident happened in a house near Bhatia Dairy in Chandan Nagar, Ludhiana. Father Satpal told that he had reached home from work. As soon as he opened the door, his innocent daughter was lying in agony surrounded by flames. Without caring for his life, Satpal tried to extinguish the fire with his bare hands. 7. NRI Punjabis will be able to get OCI card made as soon as they return to the country.

The government has changed the rules of Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card, which will benefit millions of NRIs. Now NRIs do not need to stay in India for 6 months to make OCI card. According to the new rules, as soon as an NRI reaches India, he can apply for OCI card.
Apart from this, the Government of India has tightened the rules for making OCI card for spouses of foreign origin. While renewing the passport, the spouse of foreign origin will have to declare that he/she is living together with his/her spouse in India. If the couple gets divorced, the OCI card of the foreign spouse will be considered canceled and he/she will be entitled to stay in India only for the duration of the visa.
On the other hand, the rules have now been changed for making OCI cards for children of Indian origin born abroad. Now, while making OCI card for Indian origin parents, it is necessary for their child’s birth certificate to be attested by the government of the concerned country. Earlier only a copy of the birth certificate was used. NRIs coming to India no longer need to fill the form before deboarding the plane. 8. Mother-in-law committed suicide by taking daughter-in-law’s name, jumped into the canal

A woman committed suicide by jumping into a canal in Abohar. Before dying, she recorded an audio and sent it to her elder daughter-in-law, in which she said that you are responsible for my death, just as I am yearning for my child, you will also yearn for it. After about 15 minutes, the daughter-in-law sent this audio to her husband (the woman’s elder son). However, before the son came to know about it, the mother had already died.
The deceased was identified as Suman, resident of Sunder Nagari, street number-6. She had gone to visit Balaji temple located on Hanumangarh Road. After visiting the temple, he parked his scooter on the banks of a nearby canal, then jumped into the canal.
Postmortem was conducted after the arrival of the younger son. The woman has two sons, the younger son lives in Canada, while she lived with the elder son. She has two elder daughters who are married and her husband died 16 years ago. 9. Judge suspended in Chandigarh after VIDEO goes viral

Punjab and Haryana High Court has suspended a judge posted in Chandigarh after his video went viral. Also, he has been transferred to Rohtak, Haryana. Orders in this regard have been issued by the Chief Justice.
However, the judge himself was accused of blackmailing. The judge had complained to the police that some time ago he had lost his mobile and someone had uploaded a morphed video. The judge had told that on February 18, he received a call from an unknown number. After this, messages were sent on WhatsApp, in which her morphed and objectionable pictures were shown.
Then a call was made from another number demanding Rs 1.5 crore and if the money was not paid a threat was made to make the video viral and now the image is being tarnished. On his complaint, Chandigarh Police also registered a case and arrested Rohtak’s lawyer. After the hearing, the court said that till now it has not been proved that any amount was recovered, hence the complete case of extortion is not made out. On this basis the lawyer was granted bail. 10. Son-in-law burnt father-in-law’s house and burnt valuables.

In Ludhiana, due to old rivalry, son-in-law sprinkled diesel on his father-in-law’s house and set it on fire. In this incident valuable items were burnt to ashes. Raj Kumar Shukla told that his daughter Aarti was married to Ashish Tiwari. Since marriage, Ashish was having a fight with Aarti.
Rajkumar told that he had gone to his work on 22 April. Meanwhile, his wife Sangeeta called and informed that son-in-law Ashish entered the house carrying a plastic canister filled with diesel in his hand. He sprinkled diesel on household items and set them on fire.
After setting the fire, the accused threatened to kill the entire family and fled from the spot. When the noise was heard, the people nearby tried to control the fire, but by then much of the stuff in the house was burnt. Police have registered the case and arrested the accused Ashish Tiwari. Police have also recovered a plastic canny from the possession of the accused. (Read full news)
