1. Entry of monsoon, will cover the entire state by tomorrow
Monsoon has entered Punjab via Chandigarh. According to Meteorological Center Chandigarh, earlier it was to reach Chandigarh on June 30, but it reached today with a delay of one day. The route of monsoon has remained the same for the last 5 years. It entered Chandigarh from Ambala-Panchkula, upper districts of Haryana via Uttar Pradesh and then moved towards Ropar, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot in Punjab.
Heavy rain also occurred in Chandigarh, Gurdaspur, Pathankot and Mohali in the morning. While many places remained cloudy. After about 5 hours of rain in Pathankot, the roads in the city were flooded with water up to 3 to 4 feet at many places. Apart from this, the Khaddi drain overflowed, due to which water started flowing over the bridge.
Due to the storm in Jalandhar, a white tree fell on the vehicles on Court Road. Two vehicles were damaged due to this. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in entire Punjab and Chandigarh for lightning and strong winds at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour. (Read full news)
2. Transfer of ₹1100 crore to women’s accounts

Today (July 1), ₹ 1100 crore was transferred to the accounts of women above 18 years of age in Punjab. CM Bhagwant Mann started it from Dhuri of his home district Sangrur. In this, women of general category got Rs 1000 and women of Dalit (SC) category got Rs 1500 per month. For the first time the government collected the amount for 3 months.
In which Rs. 3 thousand were given in the account of General category women and Rs. 4.5 thousand were given in the account of SC category women. The first message of Rs 4.5 thousand came on the mobile phone of a woman sitting in the meeting. CM Mann said that till yesterday 40 lakh women have been registered. Women have been given the amount for July, August and September.
Amidst the CM’s speech, a woman reached the stage and showed the CM the message received on her phone. CM held the phone and read the message and said that Rs 4500 has arrived. After this the woman said- I have four daughters, their expenses will definitely be covered. (Read full news)
3. Fight with doctors in the hospital, even pointed sword at the police

Three youths created a ruckus in the emergency ward of Ludhiana Civil Hospital. The youth who had come from Shimlapuri for medical treatment abused the doctors posted on night duty. The uproar increased so much that the youth kicked the door of the doctor’s room and then assaulted the doctors.
There was a scuffle with the police who came to rescue them and an attempt was made to attack the police with a sword. Due to this entire incident, there was an atmosphere of panic in the hospital for about 30 minutes and the breathing of the patients remained halted. The video of the incident has also surfaced. The police have detained a woman in this case.
According to the information, the incident occurred around 10:30 pm. Three youths had reached the emergency of Civil Hospital in an auto to get their medical done. During this time, there was an argument with the EMOs on duty, Dr. Harish and Dr. Avtar, regarding some issue. 4. Death of 4 pilgrims going on Amarnath Yatra

On Wednesday morning, a tempo traveler collided with a trolley parked on the road on the Bathinda-Bikaner National Highway in Punjab. 4 passengers died in the accident, while 8 people were seriously injured. The accident was so dangerous that the tempo traveler was flattened by about 4 feet.
The injured were immediately admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda, where they are undergoing treatment. The bodies have been kept in the mortuary of the government hospital in Bathinda.
According to the information, 11 to 12 people were going on Amarnath Yatra in a tempo traveler from Rajasthan. At around 7 in the morning, the Ukna Tempo Traveler reached Daba Jor village of Bathinda, between Jodhpur Romana and Gurusar Sanewala, where a trolley was already parked on the roadside. 7. CM Mann said – will not let anyone’s vote be cut.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann called on people to fill enumeration forms to confirm their votes under Special Intensive Revision (SIR). He said that the government will not allow anyone’s genuine vote to be deducted during this process.
Booth Level Officers (BLOs) under SIR in the state will go door-to-door to verify and correct voter lists till July 24. Mapping of about 90 percent voters in the state has already been done and the remaining work is also going on war footing.
CM said that BLOs are going to every house and providing enumeration forms and are also helping the voters in filling it. For the convenience of voters, no additional documents are being taken with the form. Only existing details need to be confirmed. If any house is found closed then the BLO will put an information slip and sticker there. BLO Will visit that house at least three times to collect the filled form. (Read full news)

9. Shock to former minister Sunder Sham Arora from High Court

Former minister Sundar Sham Arora has received a shock from the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The High Court rejected his petition demanding cancellation of the FIR registered in the bribery case and the proceedings going on in the trial court. The court said that there is no merit in the petition and there is no basis for accepting it.
This matter is of the year 2022. Punjab Vigilance Bureau had arrested Arora on charges of bribing one of its Assistant Inspector General (AIG). Vigilance alleges that Arora had offered a bribe of Rs 1 crore to AIG to get his name removed from the disproportionate assets case.

10. Policeman gave entry to truck driver by taking bribe

Traffic policeman took bribe from truck driver in Jalandhar. Human rights activist Aarti has shared its video on her social media account. Aarti claims that despite ‘no entry’ in the city, the traffic policeman took a bribe of ₹100 from the truck driver and allowed him to enter the city.
This incident took place near the main vegetable market of Jalandhar. According to the video, a traffic police employee was sitting in the car. Aarti claimed that the driver got down from the truck and handed the money to the traffic police employee. When the driver was asked how much money he gave, he said ₹100.
In the video, a heated argument is seen between Aarti and the traffic policeman. Aarti asked the policeman- “Is your duty being done sitting in the car? For what reason did you take money from them?” On hearing the question, the policeman first looked uncomfortable and started trying to protect himself.
