The protesters set fire to Hilton in Kathmandu, after which the building was seen to be smoking.
In the violence in Nepal on Tuesday, protesters set fire to the highest Hilton Hotel in Kathmandu. The hotel was completed in July last year. It spent 5 billion Indian rupees.
The protesters set fire to dozens of government-private buildings including Singh Darbar, Supreme Court, President’s residence. It is estimated that Nepal has damaged the assets of Arabs.
The biggest damage occurred on 9 September, but despite the army’s security, there were reports of damage from many places on 10 September.
According to the Nepal Insurance Association (NIA), insurance companies may face claims of more than 31 billion Indian rupees. This loss is three times more than the earthquake in 2015.
The insurers and bankers believe this is the worst phase for Nepal. NBA and Nepal Rashtra Banks are collecting information about the loss.

Buildings who suffered the most in violent performance
Apart from the Hilton Hotel, protesters set the corporate industry on fire by protesters like Bhatbhatni Supermarket, ENSEL, CG Electronics, Global College, Huration School, Suzuki showroom and Central Business Park.
Vehicles, National Commerce Bank, Himalayan Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Global IME Bank branches were also vandalized in Viratnagar and Ithari.
In Nepal, in the financial year 2024/25, insurance companies raised a premium of Rs 26 billion and paid Rs 11 billion claims. In the current situation, insurance companies are afraid that they may suffer even greater financial losses.
The insured is also expected to suffer heavy economic losses, as the premium on ‘sabotage and terrorism’ policies is very low, while these claims cover political violence.
