Sushila Karki studied at BHU

Sushila Karki, who was the first woman Chief Justice of Nepal, has done a Masters in Political Science from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). He started his career in advocacy in 1979.

Sushila Karki was the Chief Justice of Nepal from 11 July 2016 to 6 June 2017. In 2017, impeachment was brought against him. He was then accused of prejudice and intervention in the executive.

Sushila Karki is not the first person who has become an interim PM after becoming a judge. This was the first time in 2013, when an election government was formed under the leadership of Chief Justice Khadraj Regmi.

After the disintegration of the first Constituent Assembly, political deadlock (blockage) was born in the country. To solve this, all political parties compromised and gave Regmi the responsibility of forming the government. His government conducted elections and after that a second Constituent Assembly was formed.
