During a major operation in Nepal, India’s most notorious arms supplier Sheikh Salim alias Salim Pistol has been arrested. The team of Delhi Police Special Cell and security agencies took this action based on intelligence input. According to the police, Salim Pistol has been supplying weapons of high quality from Pakistan in India and has been supplying Lawrence Bishnoi, Hashim Baba and many other gangsters. He is also associated with Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s D company. The agencies have found strong evidence of his direct contact with Pakistan.
The name of Salim Pistol has come in many major crimes, including Sidhu Mosewala murder case and Baba Siddiqui murder case. He is also said to be the guru of an accused in the Mousala murder case.
Criminal background
Sheikh Salim, a resident of Seelampur, Delhi, was born in 1972. Due to financial constraints, he left studies after eighth and started driving a private car. In the wrong company, he stepped into the world of crime by vehicle theft. In 2000, he was first caught in a vehicle theft case. After this, he was also arrested in cases of armed robbery and loot of crores.
After being arrested in Delhi in 2018, Salim fled abroad and started handling the weapon supply network from there. The police got input that he was hiding in Nepal, after which the agencies locked and caught him.
