Your face will bow with shame.” He said, “People don’t know what all happened to me. In 2024, someone cut the brakes of my car. In the new video, Dutta criticized those who sent him negative messages. He said that a person’s death does not erase his crimes. Dutta said, “I can’t even imagine how people can be so stupid. Different people in the world can have different experiences with a person.” She said, “But I know my experience with that person. I also didn’t want to dig up dead bodies, so I kept my reaction in check.” Dutta said she wanted to give her response after a few days. He asked, “Just because someone dies, it does not mean that all the crimes of his life will be erased.” He asked, “Does the account of those whom he harassed and victimized also get closed?” Tanushree Dutta expressed her views by sharing a more than 2-hour long video on her Instagram. I, along with people, have done a lot of wrong to someone and made his life difficult.” She said, “So when I say evil is dead, I mean it. Especially after 2020, every day I have struggled and suffered because of this person.” He said, “He didn’t just harass me. There was a big group with him too. Nana Patekar… the devil is dead today.” Dutta said, “He was the biggest demon of my life. He made my life hell.” AICWA criticizes Tanushree’s comments All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) strongly criticized actress Tanushree Dutta’s comments on the demise of actor Nana Patekar. Objecting to Tanushree’s language, the association termed her statement as insensitive and inappropriate. A representative of the organization alleged that making such comments amidst the atmosphere of sorrow in the film industry is an attempt to gain cheap popularity. The association said that old legal or personal disputes cannot be a justification for violating basic respect for a deceased person. What was the whole matter? The dispute between Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar started in 2008 during the shooting of the film ‘Horn OK Please’. In March 2008, shooting of a song from the film was going on at Filmistan Studio in Mumbai. Tanushree Dutta alleged that during the shooting of the song, Nana Patekar tried to come close to her and touch her inappropriately on the pretext of teaching her dance steps. She also alleged that such intimate steps were added to the choreography of the song, which made her uncomfortable. Tanushree left the shooting midway in protest. According to him, after this Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers attacked his car outside the studio. He had also complained to the police and Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA). In September 2018, Tanushree mentioned this incident again in a TV interview. After this this matter came into discussion at the national level. Tanushree filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police against Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, director Rakesh Sarang and producer Sami Siddiqui. At the same time, in the year 2019, Mumbai Police filed a B-summary closure report in the court saying that sufficient evidence was not found. After this, in 2025, Andheri Magistrate Court of Mumbai also dismissed the criminal proceedings against Nana Patekar on the basis of lack of evidence and delay in the complaint. Nana Patekar had talked about the allegations. In an interview given to Lallantop in the year 2024, Nana Patekar was asked that he was angry when Tanushree Dutta made serious allegations against him. On this, Nana had said, “I knew that she was not like that. If it is a lie, then why are you angry? Now what can I say about what had happened. I did not get angry.” On the question of FIR, Nana had said, “That is fine, whatever else happens, I have no problem with that, but now in front of any child or girl, if they say that we…he tortured us, now everyone knows what has happened to us. We don’t know anything, no, nothing had happened, so how would we have known? If it had happened, we would have told something. If someone says that you did this, what will we say? We did not. Did, what can be said other than this.”
