Ranveer Singh starrer film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ i.e. ‘Dhurandhar 2’ broke the record of ‘Jawaan’ and became the highest grossing film on the first day.
According to trade analysts, the film did a business of more than Rs 97 crore on the first day. Earlier, ‘Jawaan’, released in 2023, had earned Rs 75 crore on the first day.
‘Dhurandhar 2’ did a business of Rs 47 crore in paid previews. Including paid previews and opening day, the total earning of the film reached Rs 144 crore. According to trade portal Sacanilc, advance bookings worth Rs 200 crore have been recorded for the first weekend.
Generally 40-50% seats are booked in advance. In such a situation, it is estimated that from Thursday to Sunday the business of the film can cross Rs 500 crore.

The duration of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is 3 hours 49 minutes, making it the second longest Bollywood film of the 21st century. Earlier, JP Dutta’s ‘LOC Kargil’ released in 2003 is the longest film with 4 hours 15 minutes. The international version of the film is 3 hours 55 minutes long.

Dhurandhar got a great response
It is noteworthy that the first part of the film Dhurandhar performed brilliantly at the Indian as well as international box office. The film grossed approximately ₹1,303 crore worldwide. The film’s gross collection in India stood at ₹1,005.85 crore, while the net collection was approximately ₹836.95 crore. With this it became the highest-grossing Hindi single-language film in India.
The film Dhurandhar got tremendous response in foreign markets also. It did a business of around ₹299.5 crore in overseas. Especially in America and Canada, the film left behind the record of ‘Baahubali 2’ by earning more than ₹ 193.06 crore. Interestingly, the film achieved this huge success even though it was not allowed to be released in the Gulf countries. Apart from this, ‘Dhurandhar’ also became the highest grossing ‘A’ rated film of Indian cinema.
