The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in 10 states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh on Sunday (August 11). On August 10, 570.6mm of rain has already fallen in the entire country.

Pipalkhunta in Pratapgarh district of Rajasthan received 112 mm of rain on Saturday. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in the districts of Rajasthan for the next one week. The roof of a house collapsed due to rain in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. A 72-year-old woman died in this incident.

Here, 128 roads are closed due to landslides, land subsidence and floods due to heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains in different parts of the state. There is a possibility of floods in Mandi, Sirmaur, Shimla and Kullu districts this morning. More than 100 people have died in the state in rain-related incidents from June 27 to August 9.

Heavy rains occurred in Chamoli, Uttarakhand on Saturday night. After this, landslides occurred in many areas, due to which the Badrinath National Highway was closed. The District Disaster Management Office said that debris is falling from the hills. The National Highway is closed in Kameda, Nandprayag and Chhinka areas. The debris is being removed to resume traffic.

Due to heavy rains in Delhi’s Dichaon area on Saturday, the wall of an MCD school collapsed and a tree was uprooted. Two people were injured and two bikes were damaged in the incident. The injured were admitted to Rao Tula Ram Memorial Hospital. Due to rain in Delhi on Saturday, many areas were flooded. Roads in Palam were submerged in rainwater.

2 dead in Odisha, orange alert in Kerala
On August 10, 2 people died and 3 people were injured due to lightning in Balasore district of Odisha. The incident took place in Raipitambar village. All these people were working in the paddy field.

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rains in Kerala on August 11 and 12. There is an alert in Palakkad and Malappuram. There is a possibility of heavy rains ranging from 11 cm to 20 cm here.

Landslide occurred due to rain in Karnataka. Train traffic between Mangaluru-Bengaluru was stopped due to landslide between Sakleshpur and Ballupet stations of Mysore division. 5 trains were delayed. Earlier, a landslide had occurred on 6 July. After this, trains were resumed only on 8 August.
