Ajay Devgan’s film ‘Drishyam 3: The Conclusion’ earned Rs 66.75 crore at the box office on the first day. This is the biggest opening of Ajay Devgan’s career. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film was released in theaters on Friday, October 2, 2026. Ajay Devgan has returned in the role of Vijay Salgaonkar in the film.
According to SACNILC, the film earned Rs 66.75 crore nett from 15,759 shows in India. Its gross collection has exceeded Rs 80.10 crore. The film earned Rs 15 crore in foreign countries. With this, its total worldwide gross earning has reached Rs 95.10 crore.

‘Drishyam 3’ has become the second highest opening film of any Hindi film this year. It is only behind ‘Dhurandhar The Revenge’.
It has also become the third highest opening film in Bollywood history. Beyond this, there are only ‘Dhurandhar 2’ and ‘Jawaan’.
The film left behind the opening of Rs 30 crore of Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’. It also crossed the opening of Rs 57 crore of Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ and Rs 63 crore of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’.
In the worldwide collection, the film has left behind the earnings of ‘Kalki’ at Rs 95 crore and ‘Salaar’ at Rs 91 crore.
Even before the film’s release, huge demand was seen in advance booking. The film earned Rs 60.17 crore gross in India in seven days after the start of booking. This also includes earnings from blocked seats. Excluding block seats, advance gross collection stood at Rs 49.29 crore. The film sold around 18.02 lakh tickets in 51,570 shows.
Biggest opening of Ajay’s career
Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has created a new record among the biggest opening films of Ajay Devgan’s career. The film recorded Ajay Devgan’s biggest opening till date with earnings of ₹66.75 crore on the first day. Earlier this record was in the name of Singham Again, which had earned ₹43.50 crore on the first day.
Drishyam 3 can become Ajay Devgan’s highest grossing film
After the earnings on the opening day on Friday, the film’s earnings are expected to increase in the weekend. This film can also break the records of many highest grossing films of Ajay Devgan. Currently, his highest grossing film is Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which earned a total of Rs 361 crore.
Star cast and background of the film
Ajay Devgan will once again be seen in the role of Vijay Salgaonkar in the film ‘Drishyam 3: The Conclusion’. Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrinal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor and Prakash Raj are returning in their old roles in the film.
Jaideep Ahlawat has also entered this part. This franchise is known for its suspense thriller story, the first two parts of which were successful at the box office.
Akshay Khanna left the film at the last moment
Earlier, this film was in the news due to actor Akshay Khanna leaving the shooting at the last moment. Writer and director of ‘Drishyam 3’ Abhishek Pathak had told that he had left the project a week before Akshay Khanna’s scenes with Ajay Devgan were to be shot.
Despite this, instead of postponing the shooting, the makers rewrote the script within three days. Akshaye Khanna’s role was changed to a new character and Jaideep Ahlawat was cast.

There has been a demand to ban the release of Ajay Devgan starrer film ‘Drishyam 3: The Conclusion’. M/s Rajkumar Theater Private Limited has filed a petition in the Madras High Court against M/s Wide Angle Creations, demanding an immediate ban on the worldwide release and distribution of the film.
