Indian IPOs launched this year have given the best returns in the world. 36 IPOs launched in 6 months have given an average return of 57% since their listing.

In comparison, IPOs in the Asia Pacific region gave a return of 32%. This is double the global average. 15 more IPOs may come in the next 6 months, through which companies can collectively raise about Rs 91 thousand crore.

36 IPOs raised around ₹88.5 thousand crores
According to data from Prime Database Group, 36 IPOs that have come out so far have raised about Rs 88.5 thousand crores. These IPOs were oversubscribed by an average of 12 times. According to Pranav Haldia, Managing Director of Prime Database Group, this trend will continue. With the kind of listing gains we are seeing, if an investor is able to get allotment, he can make quick money.

Investment banks received ₹2,038 crore in fees for handling IPOs
Investment banks have earned fees of Rs 2,038 crore in the first half for handling share sales (IPOs). This is the highest earning in 17 years.

According to data from financial markets data provider LSEG Data & Analytics, capital raised through equity capital market (ECM) activities grew 2.5 times to Rs 2.46 lakh crore.

This is the highest figure in any half year. ECM includes IPOs, follow-on offerings like block deals, follow-on public offerings (FPOs) and qualified institutional placements (QIPs).
